Applicants between the ages of 14-79 must appear in person for an interview and have their biometric fingerprints captured. Each individual must have his/her own appointment scheduled. Applicants without scheduled appointments will not be able to enter the Embassy.

Applicants under 14 or over 80 years of age with Greek passports need not to appear in person. These applicants or someone else acting on their behalf can drop off their passport and documents (after completing steps 2-5 ) any working day Monday to Friday 12-1pm without an appointment, or can send them by courier or regular mail (the address is AMERICAN EMBASSY – NIV UNIT, 91 Vas. Sophias Ave., Athens 101 60). Please note that the applicant must sign his/her passport. The Non-immigrant Visa section is closed the last Wednesday of each month and these U.S. and Greek Holidays.
