Refugee Travel Documents (Form I-131)

Applications for refugee travel documents may be filed from overseas locations only at USCIS Rome if the applicant:

• Was admitted to the United States as a refugee or asylee,
• Departed the United States without having applied for a refugee travel document, and
• Has not yet been outside the United States for more than one year

FILING AN APPLICATION FOR REFUGEE TRAVEL DOCUMENT

All I-131 applicants must be fingerprinted using form FD-258. Fingerprints can be taken at USCIS Athens or at U.S. Embassies or Consulates within our jurisdiction.
