U.S. Embassy Supports First Ever Greek Race For The Cure

Ambassador Speckhard and the U.S. Embassy community showed out in force to raise awareness for the battle against breast cancer. The first annual Susan B. Komen for the Cure and Pan-Hellenic Association of Women with Breast Cancer race was wildly successful both in terms of turn-out and media coverage. Ambassador and Dr. Speckhard hosted a pre-race reception with local celebrities and cancer survivors attracting diplomats, political and business leaders, community health leaders, oncologists and researchers. Over 130 members of the Embassy community were part of the 6,000 walked and ran in the Race.
