Ambassador Ries Congratulates Greek Basketball Coach Panagiotis Giannakis
U.S. Ambassador to Greece Charles P. Ries congratulated Greek National Basketball Team Coach Panagiotis Giannakis on Greece's great success at this year's World Basketball Championships. In particular, the Ambassador and Coach Giannakis discussed the excellent teamwork, skill, and enthusiasm the Greek team displayed in its upset of the U.S. team in the semi-finals. Both men agreed that basketball fans from both nations can expect many exciting matches in the future.
