Upgrades to

To make information more easily accessible to the public, the U.S. Embassy Athens and the U.S. Consulate General in Thessaloniki are pleased to announce that we have improved our websites. Our new addresses are http://athens.usembassy.gov/ and http://thessaloniki.usconsulate.gov/.
Changes include a new appearance, featuring a photographic slideshow on the front page, drop down menus for easier access to information, and a search feature that allows you to search the whole site for just the information you need. We also now have Greek language mirror sites, located at http://athens.usembassy.gov/greekhome.html and http://thessaloniki.usconsulate.gov/greekhome.html. These sites collect all of the information available in Greek in one place with the same drop down menus and appearance as the English language site.
Visitors accustomed to accessing our sites at our old addresses will be redirected to the new sites. We hope that you will visit and leave comments for us at AthensWM@state.gov, in Athens, and info@usconsulate.gr in Thessaloniki.
For more information about the United States, please visit the State Department's new http://www.america.gov/ site. Launched on January 15, it replaces the former USINFO.gov.
