U.S. Visa and American Citizen Services Fee Increases
Athens (July 12, 2010) -- The American Embassy in Athens announces changes to the worldwide Schedule of Fees for Consular Services. Effective July 13, 2010, passport, visa, and notarial fees will change. The changes are based on an in-depth cost of service study and ensure that the Department of State has sufficient resources to meet the increasing cost of delivering consular services. Please refer to the website http://www.travel.state.gov/news/news_5078.html to view the new fees. The following is a sample of the fee changes for the most common consular services rendered.
The fee for a Consular Report of Birth Abroad will be $100.
The renewal fee for a full-validity passport will be $110.
A new fee of $82 for additional passport pages will be levied.
Note that applicants anticipating the need for a larger passport book can now request a 52 page passport book for the same cost as the standard 28 page passport book.
Notarials, Certifications of True Copies, Authentications, and provision of Department of State records will be $50.
Please refer to U.S. Embassy website at http://athens.usembassy.gov, for complete U.S. passport application instructions.
