Hours of Operation 

The Immigrant Visa Unit provides services to Greek and third-country nationals who wish to immigrate to the United States.

Hours of Operation: 8:30 am to 12:00 pm - Monday through Friday.

Phone: (210) 720-2452 or (210) 720-2453 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Please have your Immigrant Visa case number available.

The Immigrant Visa section is closed the last Wednesday of each month and these U.S. and Greek Holidays.

Immigrant visa processing has resumed in Beirut. If you have already applied for immigrant visa at Embassy Beirut, you should contact the consular section there for further information.

In crisis or emergency situations, the U.S. Embassy in Athens is designated as an alternate processing post for Lebanese immigrant cases.  Only in these circumstances and for those Lebanese citizens resident in Greece can we schedule an immigrant visa appointment in Athens and only for those immigrant visa cases otherwise current for processing.  Any questions should be addressed, via e-mail, to: Athens-IV-Lebanon@state.gov
