The Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) of the American Embassy in Athens represents the interests of the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Greece.

FAS/Athens' mission is to:

  • Advance the goals of U.S. agricultural trade policy and phytosanitary issues
  • Promote the exports of U.S. food, agricultural, forestry and beverage products
  • Advise U.S. exporters on specific questions related to the Greek market
  • Prepare a large variety of commodity and marketing reports
  • Facilitate U.S. companies' access to the Greek market
  • Assist Greek importers seeking to purchase U.S. products
