Requirements for Greek citizen travelers who wish to fill out the ESTA application

• The traveler needs to be bearer of a Greek passport.  
• Wishing to travel for tourist or business purposes that will not include paid work.
• To stay in the United States less than 90 days.
• Have a return ticket and
• Obtain a travel authorization through the ESTA electronic system at https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/.
• Needs to pay an amount of $14.  The system itself will lead you towards the payment through a credit or cash card.  The cash card needs to be either VISA or MASTERCARD.   

The application for the ESTA should be submitted at least 72 hours before the travel and if it is approved we recommend that travelers to print it and present it at the airport along with their passport and air ticket.  The approval will show as a message on your screen “Your travel authorization has been approved you may travel to the United States”.

Please Note:

As soon as the system generates the ESTA application number you should save it.  Do not lose or discard it.   The ESTA application number may be needed for future use or reference, such as to check the status/update of your application or simply το retrieve it for reprinting.
